2009 Season

When we moved into our home in 2009, one of the first things we did was get a piece of ground ready for our garden. We took a patch of sagebrush and weeds that was about 100 x 100 and starting preparing for the upcoming growing season.

We began by planting some strawberries and rasberries. The strawberries are called Fort Laramie, and they are an everbearing variety. The rasberries are called heritage and the reason I picked them is because you can mow them down with your lawn mower after the growing season is over, instead of having to go through and cane them each year. My idea of less work.

We planted peas, beans, beets, potatoes, corn, tomato's peppers and of course a variety of squash including an abudance of zuccini.
